Persecution Memorial Hall
A Place Where the World of Samsara Meets the Realm of Enlightenment — Where radiant tradition converges with a brilliant future. The site where Bongeunsa Temple stands holds an inexpressibly profound value. Once a place of coexistence where people lived together with the Buddha, it now remains as an empty land that carries traces of the past. We hope that visitors to this place will be gently guided into the world of the Buddha, where they can listen to and feel His teachings and enlightenment more deeply.

Where the World of Samsara Meets the Realm of Enlightenment
The Bongeunsa Temple area is a unique place where radiant tradition coexists with the modern city. Situated at the meeting point between the world of Samsara and the realm of enlightenment, the Beophan Memorial Hall has been designed as a space where visitors can feel the Buddha’s teachings and enlightenment more intimately. While embracing the memory of a village that once breathed together with this land, it has been created as an open and contemplative space where people passing through the city can naturally pause and reflect.
